Our students had a visit from Breast Cancer Ireland today. Juliette gave them a massively important talk on Breast Cancer Awareness, which included her own experience, the signs and symptoms, and a demonstration on a mannequin on how to correctly check our breast tissue. 1 in 7 women and 1 in 728 men are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. It is vital to do monthly checks and they have created an app ‘Breast Aware’ with helpful videos and reminders to help us.
