I am delighted to welcome you to the Nano Nagle College website. Nano Nagle College is a co-educational secondary school serving our local community, and as Principal, I am committed to providing consistency, stability and strong leadership for our students, staff and families, building on the positive developments of recent years.
At the heart of our school is a student-centred approach, where every young person is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential. Nano Nagle College is growing, but we are determined to stay small, because being a close community where every student is well known is central to who we are, and it is what allows us to support each young person to become the best version of themselves. Our small class sizes allow for more individual attention, stronger relationships between students and teachers, and a more supportive learning environment in which students can thrive. We hold high expectations for all students and are committed to continually improving academic standards, with a clear focus on excellence while recognising and responding to the diverse needs of our learners.
Nano Nagle College offers a broad and varied curriculum, including engineering, graphics, woodwork, art, music, home economics, physical education, Spanish and French to Leaving Certificate level. Many of these subjects are taught in excellent, recently renovated specialist facilities, including our fantastic new facilities for our T4 subjects, providing students with high-quality learning environments. We are also looking to expand our curriculum further, to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our students and to challenge them to achieve their best. Alongside academic learning, we place strong emphasis on wellbeing, pastoral care and a range of extracurricular opportunities.
We are proud to support students with additional needs through our ASD classes, which are designed to provide structured support in a nurturing environment. These classes are complemented by dedicated sensory spaces, helping students to regulate, feel secure and engage positively with school life. Student wellbeing is further supported through our partnership with The School Food Company, which provides nutritious meals prepared on site each day, ensuring students are well nourished and ready to learn.
As a CEIST school, we are part of a national network of Catholic secondary schools that values inclusion, care, social justice and respect for the dignity of every person. While we are proud of our history and traditions, we remain firmly focused on meeting the evolving needs of our community and preparing our students for life beyond school.
I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about what Nano Nagle College has to offer. Should you wish to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact the school. We would be delighted to speak with you and welcome you into our community.
