We recently had the opportunity to bring the story of Nano Nagle alive for our 1st Yr and 5th students by taking them on a visit to Nano Nagle Place. The experience describes life in 18th century Cork before going on to explore the story of how Nano Nagle worked tirelessly to help and educate the poor and disadvantaged of the city. The students and teachers then interactively discovered how the order she founded, the Presentation Sisters, has travelled across the globe to continue her work. Thanks to Ms. Ryan for organising such an enjoyable trip and to Ms. Browne, Ms. Lawless, Ms. Hennessy and Ms. O’ Sullivan for accompanying the students. We are lucky to have this wonderful tribute to such an inspirational person on our doorstep.
